A national training framework built to strengthen local branch confidence online.
CNW Wholesale partnered with RSM Academy to develop a custom social media training program for Branch Managers, beginning with the Queensland cohort and designed with the potential to scale across the wider national network.
As a long-established Australian-owned electrical wholesale business, CNW’s strength sits in local relationships, practical service and trade expertise. The training program was designed to help branch teams bring that strength into their digital presence, supporting customer trust, community connection, supplier relationships, recruitment and the broader CNW brand.

RSM developed a practical, branch-level training program tailored specifically to CNW’s operating environment. Rather than delivering generic platform training, the workshop was built around how social media could be used by local branches in a way that felt useful, achievable and aligned with the national brand.
Ahead of the workshop, RSM reviewed CNW’s existing social media presence, completed a light competitor and industry scan, and developed customised examples, activity prompts and planning tools. This included a 12-month content planning worksheet, campaign planner and practical workshop resources designed to help Branch Managers move from understanding social media to confidently applying it.
The training covered Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, with modules across profile setup, Meta Business Manager, organic and paid content, Reels, Stories, geotags, hashtags, community management, content pillars, campaign localisation and analytics. RSM also included hands-on training across Canva, AI tools including ChatGPT, Milanote, Meta Planner and LinkedIn scheduling to make the learning immediately practical.
RSM developed a customised training ecosystem that translated social media strategy into practical branch action. The program gave CNW managers a clearer understanding of how local content can support the national brand, while equipping them with repeatable planning tools for branch-led posts, supplier content, community stories, recruitment updates and campaign support.
The objective for CNW Wholesale was clear: build social media capability from the inside out, giving branch teams the confidence and structure to create content that is consistent, useful and locally relevant.
