Loulaki approached Round Square Marketing with a vision to create a unique Melbourne Cup event that would stand out from the crowd and offer a memorable experience. From the start,we understood that this event needed to capture the elegance and excitement of Melbourne Cup day while also bringing something fresh and exciting to the table. We wanted to give it a distinct Greek twist,blending tradition with fun,and making sure it was not just another ordinary race day celebration.
Our team dove straight into planning,starting with the creation of eye-catching campaign visuals. We organised two photo shoots:one for the teaser and launch of the event,and another to build the excitement and classiness leading up to the big day. These visuals formed the foundation of the event’s promotional materials,alongside the graphic design for invitations,menus,and EDMs that went out to a carefully curated list of attendees.
To bring the event to life,we coordinated every detail,from selecting an MC and guest speakers to ensuring the styling was on point. The 12-course share plate menu,inspired by classic Greek cuisine,set the tone for a fun-filled and unique experience,while Greek plate smashing added an element of excitement and culture that had never been seen before at a Melbourne Cup event in the region. Of course,no event is complete without a major auction,and our team ensured the fundraiser was both seamless and successful.
The event was in support of Protea Place,an organisation dedicated to providing essential support for women in need within the community. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical,and thanks to the overwhelming generosity of attendees,the event raised over $24,0 in just a few hours—a truly remarkable achievement.
Our aim was to create a Melbourne Cup event that was classy,unique,and meaningful,and the results exceeded our expectations.
